Job Introduction
BBC Children in Need are currently looking for a Senior Partnership Account Manager for a permanent contract, based in London or Salford.

You will be central to the charity's growth by securing long-term successful partnerships and the basis upon which they evolve for the future.
You will be responsible for implementing the strategic vision for BBC Children in Need partnerships, while driving a portfolio of partners in order to increase fundraising income.

Existing partners such as Boots and Asda are playing an essential role in helping us achieve these strategic aims. But we know we have the potential to secure more high profile brand partnerships in the coming months and years - we're planning for the long-term by improving forecasting and also by creating more defined marketing campaigns for each partner.

As the BBC's UK Charity, BBC Children in Need exists to make a positive difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Our refreshed objectives and activities will ensure the impact we have on children's lives is front and centre of the work the charity undertakes over and above the projects and services we fund.
Our focus is on finding and funding the inspiring ideas that change children's lives.

This position can be based form Salford or London.

Role Responsibility
The Senior Partnership Account Manager will be responsible for maximising and driving our current partnerships as well as onboarding new Partners and will report to the Head of Commercial Partnerships.

The main responsibilities of the role are to:
  • Implement the strategic vision for CiN partnerships
  • Manage and support a team of around 4 colleagues, ensuring they can deliver at their best
  • Develop and work with the account management team to drive strategic partnership opportunities and engagement within both the existing partner portfolio and the on boarding of new Partners
  • Ensure partners are presented with and buy into exciting and manageable fundraising programmes throughout the year
  • Identify and present new opportunities to current partners
  • Maintain a thorough analysis and reporting process ensuring KPIs are achievable and managed across the year.
  • Forge strong relationships in multiple departments to ensure buy-in across all areas and sites within each partner
  • Manage issue resolution in a timely manner and be the escalation point for your team
  • Ensure both Partners and BBC CiN deliver on all contractual obligations as per the agreed terms defined for each Partnership

Are you the right candidate?
The Senior Partnership Account Manager will have a proven track record of account management at a senior level and will have extensive experience of driving mutually beneficial fundraising partnerships.

To be successful in this position, you will need:
  • A proven track record of creating and managing successful fundraising partnerships
  • Experience of working as part of a creative team developing high profile consumer campaigns and project managing bespoke programmes to drive revenue and engagement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven track record in forming effective relationships at all professional levels
  • Experience of managing and developing staff
  • Experience of brand & PR partnership marketing
  • Proven record of successful budget management in complex projects, and of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Experience and ability to lead and motivate a team of people in an often complex environment and with sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Ability to negotiate and experience of issue resolution
  • Some knowledge of Editorial policy and practice
  • Experience of juggling priorities and workload
