We have been retained by an FMCG business based in the North West to source a Procurement Manager to improve their current procurement strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who really wants to develop their career to the next level with a well-established and growing Food business.

You will be responsible for championing the Procurement function.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will take responsibility for:

·Managing supplier performance for products and services

·Negotiating rates and terms

·Establishing contingency plans for supply when required

·Implementing and sustaining a range of supplier KPIs

·Working cross functionally with Supply Chain and Operations to improve processes

·Improvement projects relating to the procurement strategy

Currently in a Procurement role, you will be experienced in working in a fast paced, FMCG/Food business. You will be proven in setting up supplier management processes from grass roots as well as establishing supplier contracts. This role is interfacing with some major international brands so it is vital that you are professional, credible and proven. Ideally you will be CIPS qualified and will be a proven, tactical negotiator.

This role offers immediate challenge as well as the opportunity to be involved, and lead, group wide projects. Offering an attractive starting salary of between £45,000 and £50,000 alongside an excellent benefits package which includes a car allowance and an attractive bonus.
