Our client is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their growing Richmond-based team on a full or part-time basis. Role Description

Although the office is based in Richmond-upon-Thames, the role will require client based work in South London and does allow for flexible, home-based working when required with a focus being on project delivery. The role requires an agile approach with responsibilities that include:
  • Driving accounting policies and processes across the business and for our clients, including month-end, FP&A, Commercial Management and operational accounting for all service offerings.
  • Ensuring the integrity of the Profit & Loss statement Cash Flow and Balance Sheet.
  • Responsibility for coordinating and reviewing month and year-end close, financial control processes, and the completion and submission of reporting and statutory obligations.
  • Introduce budgetary controls and reporting at an office, functional, and project level across the business
  • Identify and produce timely, accurate and insightful reports articulating the impact of business decisions on key business metrics, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Proactively provide commercial insights through analytical review of data and business drivers and performance.
  • Manage the preparation and presentation of financial statements, reports, ad hoc special analysis for Management and/or Board use.
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process and ensure that the budgets are appropriately submitted and reported against.
  • Ensure that the cash flow forecast is properly maintained.
  • Ensure all audit files are prepared in accordance with the audit timetable.
  • Manage third-party payroll functions where required
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
  • Manage relevant VAT / Tax returns for various entities
  • Manage payroll entries and any Revenue reporting & compliance relating to payroll
  • Ad hoc projects as and when required and / or any of our Clients
Experience Required
  • You are an experienced Accountant who is looking for a flexible working environment and ready to join a growing business, working with some exciting clients. You will have experience in building finance teams and working in a collaborative environment across function and industry. You are a natural leader and are excited about innovation, proactive problem-solving and project-delivery.
  • You have excellent communication skills and are accustomed to dealing with a wide range of stakeholders. You are confident in your ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial teams and enjoy working in a team environment, but also confident in your ability to work by yourself when required.
  • You do not shy away from actively engaging with 3rd party service providers such as auditors and solicitors on client projects and enjoy liaising with teams to ensure all requirements are fulfilled.
  • You are a logical thinker with an eye for detail. You are able to solve complex problems and implement process improvement. You have experience in financial modelling and able to implement and drive projects and strategies around budget control and forecasting.
  • You are highly organised, efficient and have experience in working with a variety of integrated accounting systems like NetSuite, Exchequer and Xero.
  • You keep yourself updated on the latest legislative changes, which includes understanding and analysing the impact of and recommending adoptions.
  • You are either ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified and can demonstrate working with a variety of clients and industry.
