Are you a confident, inspiring SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a SEN Teaching position? An outstanding primary school based in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea are seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This successful school graded outstanding on their recent Ofsted inspection, has 2 forms of entry. They are currently looking for an experienced Reception SEN teaching assistant (TA) to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the academic year July 2020. This position is paying a daily rate between £70 - £90 per day.

This two-form entry primary school aim to give each child the very best primary education, preparing them for their future in secondary school and beyond. Every child is viewed as individual and they try to develop and nurture individual talents and nurseries.
You will be working with a student in Reception class who is diagnosed with ASD and is nonverbal. This school is looking for an SEN teaching assistant who has experience with SEN children, especially autistic children. They are ideally looking for someone who is energetic and a team player. This role is 5 days per week - Monday to Friday 8.30 - 4.00 pm.

To be shortlisted for this role:
oyou should have class-based experience of working with primary-aged children (4-11 years) with ASD and/or speech, language and communication difficulties, ideally in a mainstream setting
oExperience working with students diagnosed with Autistic Spectrum (ASD) in particular non-verbal
oKnowledge and experience of supporting children delayed social interaction and social communication difficulties
oExperience of supporting children with social and emotional difficulties e.g. leading social skills group
o Experience working with students with ADHD, ASD is essential. Makaton or PECS training desirable but not essential
oHave experience supporting pupil's Social Skills development following strategies provided by SALT, Occupational Therapy, ASD Outreach teacher and Inclusion Manager
