An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced financial services administrator or paraplanner to join a respected financial services practice.

You'll take on a broad range of responsibilities including communication with product providers/clients by telephone, post, and email; obtaining product information, entering and maintaining the accuracy of client data and assisting the principal financial adviser in preparing for and documenting client appointments and financial advice services. You will also be helping the principal of the business organise the day-to-day duties of the business.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Act in a professional manner with staff, business associates and clients
  • Build excellent working relationships with company staff
  • Build rapport with existing and prospective clients
  • Maintain client confidentiality
  • Liaison with product providers, consultants and clients and handling ongoing servicing queries
  • Establishing and maintaining files and records
  • Create and maintain clients' records in the CRM system
  • Assist the principal of the firm.

Essential criteria:
  • Technical knowledge
  • Experience of working within a financial services firm/environment
  • The ability to develop a rapport with the staff, existing and potential clients, in person and on the telephone
  • Experience with cash flow reports
  • Suitability reports
  • Attention to detail and an appreciation of the importance of data accuracy
  • An understanding of the Financial Conduct Authority's compliance requirements
  • Sound IT skills and a working knowledge of MS Word/Excel

Desirable criteria:
  • Diploma Level 4 in financial planning or working towards this qualification
