Supply Chain PMO Specialist, based Derby, 15 month contract to start asap
Working with one of the region's largest employers who are now embarking on the busiest and most successful periods in their long history. You will help deliver some of the most technically advanced vehicles of their type, all designed developed and manufactured in Derby.
PMO Supplier Management Specialist resource to support specific management and Transformation activities across the UKSEAASA Region. To Support the whole Procurement function, Supplier Performance Management and manage effective governance and reporting.
This role will entail working on tasks in PMO, Procurement Bids or SPM/SQA, such as Governance and Reporting, Support the Procurement Organisation, Supplier Integration Management, Bid Management, SPM/SQA Activities and Ad hoc Activities. Support the own Procurement organisation by implementing and maintaining various improvement initiatives to ensure harmonisation of processes and implementation of best practices. Responsible to provide governance support by consolidating and analysing diverse information and conducting supplier integration activities or Procurement Bid Management or SPM/SQA activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Problem identification containment and resolution to support of On time Delivery
*Material coverage support
*Material coverage
*Reporting
*Open Issue reporting and escalation
*Other concern reporting and management
*(Purchase / Quality / Engineering / Manufacturing / Logistics)
*On site response to management requests

*To fully understand the capabilities of a supplier's environment in meeting the business demand
*Management of the immediate risks and mitigation plan with clear situation communication to Stakeholders
*To fully understand the suppliers Management and business operating systems effectiveness and capability (Competence) to deliver a sustainable performance and/or improvement where required in line with the project.

Objectives
*Provide "Consultancy" support to supplier improvement & Project success
*Understand the value stream, its drivers and risk areas
*Fully understand the "Root cause" of business issues and risks, Providing sustainable mitigation.
*Support directly in the crisis management and/or areas in the supplier that require support to meet Demand
*Be in a position to present objectively the current capability and the proposed roadmap to improvement.
*To understand and communicate the activities required to support / develop a given supplier

oIssue and manage governance key performance indicators to improve procurement efficiency and performance.
oPrepare and analyse the different reports to enable the procurement management team to manage the global supply chain and procurement organisation

*Support the Procurement Organization
oSupport the procurement tool landscape including the collection and sharing of good or best tool practices.
oSupport the procurement organisation in the deployment and monitoring of procurement specific programs.
oMonitor procurement process application across the procurement organisation including the collection and sharing of good or best process practices.
oSupport the procurement organisation interfaces with other functions within the region or with other regions/core.
oSupport the procurement organisation in supplier related processes, e.g. risk and opportunity management, supplier integration activities

*Supplier Performance Management
oSupport SPM activities by managing the region wide Supplier Development and supplier Support Initiative by approval, planning, and budgeting, resourcing, process compliance and governance of the regional initiatives.

We are looking for a PMO professional fully conversant with all aspects of Procurement related activities, ie Purchasing, Warehousing and Logistics etc, and used to working within Manufacturing / Engineering environment - ideally Rail, Aerospace or Automotive sectors. You will need to have a strong understanding of Supplier Risk Management and be someone who can manage multiple stakeholders effectively, deliver transformation and change within complexed and challenging operating environments and contribute significantly to the performance of the business
