Job Title: Factory Manager

Leading Global Bespoke Manufacturer

The Company:

Our client is a leading global bespoke manufacturer looking to recruit a new Factory Manager on site due to growth within the business.

The successful candidate will oversee the factory production in order to provide a high-quality product within time and budget constraints, whilst monitoring and updating production planning and materials.

The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate leadership and management skills with a desire to drive and motivate the team acting as a hands-on presence on the shop floor with a passionate personality.

Salary of a Factory Manager

The position will be on a Day shift, salary range offered is up to £45,000.

Job Description of a Factory Manager

As the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for;
  • To ensure that factory performance is maximised in terms of controlling labour costs, material utilisation, quality of product and health and safety performance.
  • To be responsible, in conjunction with the HR Director, for the selection and hiring of general manufacturing employees
  • In conjunction with the HSEQ Manager, contribute to and support Health & Safety initiatives, training, risk assessments and standard operating procedures and ensure agreed standards are maintained in the factory.
  • To report and manage output statistics through the ERP system whilst ensuring Manufacturing employees operate the ERP system efficiently.
  • Manage and oversee the monthly stocktake, investigating and explaining stock variances.
  • Strive to improve utilizing continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity.

Skills & experience of a Production Manager:
  • 5+ years of Managerial experience working in a fast-paced modern manufacturing plant
  • Good analytical skills using modern manufacturing techniques
  • To have a working understanding of the warehousing, manufacturing and inventory modules of an ERP system.
  • To be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
