OX Seven overview oftheEngineering Manager role:

You will be joining a leading multi-billion dollar business in the food ingredients sector with sites located across the globe. They are experiencing rapid growth with plans to open further sites in Europe and Asia over the next few years. They thrive on creativity and innovation by embracing new technologies to push the boundaries of food science.

As the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for leading the Engineering Department, ensuring the machinery, buildings and working practices are kept to the highest possible standards. A key part of this role will be to define and implement the site engineering strategy.

Your day-to-day as theEngineeringManager:
  • Manage a team of multi-disciplinedstaff- ensuring all site and corporate policies are implemented and enforced
  • Manage and develop the Planned Maintenance programme utilising continuous improvement methodology
  • Manage Maintenance Technicians to ensure they identify, diagnose and rectify faults/breakdowns in a timely and safe mannerwithminimum impact to efficiency, whilst also ensuring their work areas, tools and equipment meet Corporate Sanitation Standards at all times
  • Provide out of hourson-callsupportto the team of Maintenance Technicians
  • Compile and manage a critical spares list in conjunction with the Planned Maintenance Schedule
  • Identify and raise purchase requisitions for parts and servicing where required and submit to the Plant Manager for authorisation
  • Lead and provide support where project improvement activities have been identified
  • Liaise with Quality department on customer complaints and non-conformances, offering advice and information when required
  • Manage and control budgets - reporting on monthly variances

What we will look for on your CV for the Engineering Manager position:
  • Time served Engineering Apprenticeship
  • Experience in a similar role working in a high-volume manufacturing environment which includes continuous processes and batch processes - preferably within the food manufacturing sector
  • Practical hands-on approach
  • Significant experience of working with a maintenance background
  • Experienced in electrical and mechanical fault finding
  • Planned Maintenance systems and procedures development experience
  • Well-developed and well-rounded management and leadership skills - being a true tea
