Are you an experienced Commercial Finance Analyst looking for a new challenge?

As our Commercial Finance Analyst, you will report to the Pricing & Commercial Manager in our Finance team. You will take ownership of the month end financial analysis and upload process, as well as pricing administration within the system. You will also be responsible for supporting the information and analytics agenda of the business and therefore instrumental in driving business performance through commercial insights and effective collaboration with the sales teams. You will be proactive and analytical with advanced Excel skills, reliable and thorough. You must have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines; as well as being flexible and open to change. You will have strong communication skills, high attention to detail, exceptional organisation skills with ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

·Ownership of the monthly financial performance upload into the group reporting database

·Providing high quality, insightful financial modelling and advice to the non-finance teams

·Periodical financial analysis of company profit and loss statements

·Develop and take ownership of financial modelling & reporting to support and add value in key decision making to ensure overall efficiency and profitability

·Pricing maintenance in the system, including implementing price changes

·Monthly analysis and reporting on pricing, margin and profitability

·Provide support to the Pricing & Commercial manager for any pricing quotes/tenders

·Extract and manipulate transactional data from the system and communicate to internal and external customers

·Create insightful reports and dashboards using interactive visual techniques

·Undertake any other tasks that are defined as part of this role as the company develops

The Person

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will have:


·Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, ability to prioritise a changing workload and use initiative

·Good communication & presentation skills

·Essential - Studying towards CIMA/ACCA

·Essential - Educated to a minimum of 'A' level in, and preferably degree level in Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or Finance
·Essential - 2+years' experience in a similar commercially focussed finance role

·Essential - Advanced knowledge of Excel

·Desirable - Experience of using at least one self-service BI tool. E.g. Power BI, Tableau or QlikView. Power Query
