Mercury Hampton is working exclusively with this exciting engineering group. They are aggressively growing market share, sales and winning major new customers. Working for their plastic component division you will support all sales and marketing efforts across Europe within this product group. Working closely with international sales teams you will be the Technical Plastics Specialist; you will assist the business in growing sales, offering technical / commercial support including training in advanced engineering thermoplastics. You will be the Plastics product champion, both internally and externally giving technical/ product support to drive sales uplift.

You will be a technical expert in plastics, you will be able to advise and consult with corporate customers recommending the correct material selection to fulfill complex customer specifications and application requirements. You will manage Europe's key accounts for advanced thermoplastics, delivering complex technical engineering plastic products and solutions to major end users and OEMs in the oil and gas, power generation, process industries and major pump and valve OEM's. You will design and deliver technical training and bring together a portfolio of case studies and marketing/ technical literature.

Our client is looking for an outstanding technical skill set, a Mechanical Engineering or Material Science qualification and or apprenticeship and hands on experience working with plastics in manufacturing. A world class knowledge of engineering plastics and advanced thermoplastics is a prerequisite as you will be advising customers and internal stakeholders on material selection and keeping clients updated on new technical developments and innovation. As such you will develop relationships with external bodies and professional institutions to raise the profile and kudos of the company and to keep up to speed on market developments and direction.

This is a commercial role, you will be targeted on increasing margin of plastics across Europe, you will be involved in the growth strategy and forecasting. You will have been in a client facing position previously, utilising your commercial flair to build long term relationships with customers.
