Grafton Banks Finance is working with a large business, based in Crawley, to recruit an interim Group Financial Statutory Accountant for 6 months.

The role will lead the production of the UK consolidated financial statements under IFRS and will also be heavily involved in the implementation of IFRS 15 & IFRS 16.

To be considered for this role you will be a qualified accountant (ideally practice trained) who is experienced working in group roles and who has recent experience of producing consolidated financial statements under IFRS. You will also be strong technically and have experience of implementing changes in accounting standards.

Key responsibilities:
  • Play a pivotal role in the preparation and production of three sets of Group audited consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS. These consolidated financial statements will include but are not limited to, business acquisitions and disposals, Group restructures, accounting the impacts of new accounting standards.
  • Help the Group's accountants in the preparation and review of 40 local entity audited and unaudited financial statements in accordance with FRS 101.
  • Be instrumental in implementing the transition plan to IFRS 16.
  • Provide technical and logistical assistance to the Group Financial Controller on several other Group Finance projects, such as accounting for business acquisition and disposals, dividend planning and Group structure changes.

This is an interim role to start ASAP for 6 months.
