We need to recruit a CNC Setter/Operator, predominantly milling, to increase machining capacity.

This will be on standard 5-day shift to start (40 hrs 08.30-17.00 M-F) but when fully trained you will be seconded to the 3-day weekend shift (38.5 hrs Fri 05.00-18.00, Sat 05.00-18.00 & Sun05.00-19.00).

Duties include the following:

• To set and operate CNC Machines including programme editing when required under the guidance of the Production Engineer.

• Ensuring all equipment & tooling is functioning to achieve the required results for the operations undertaken.

• Ensuring that all work produced meets the specified level of quality.

• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and safe working practices in the section having due regard to the Company's Health & Safety policy.

• Ensure that accurate and timely booking procedures are maintained and that all the relevant production documentation/records are processed correctly.

• Inform the Department Supervisor of any relevant problems which could affect the achievement of the required output, with recommendations as to their solution.

• Assist where appropriate in the training of new/transferred employees

• Liaise as required with other Company personnel and departments.

• Carry out any other reasonable task that is required by the Company.

Your personal training will include working with current staff and also attending a course with the machine tool supplier.

Familiarity with Fanuc and Heidenhein controls would be useful but not essential as most people will have experience of either but not both.

Rate of pay £13.50 to start and after satisfactory completion of the training required and a move to the weekend shift £14.50 (x weekend shift premium of 1.5)
