Network Service Delivery Engineer IIJob Profile SummaryAs part of the wider Network Service Delivery Team, the NSD II engineer will be managing the Network Data Requests and Projects which are raised to the NSD team. The core objective of the team is to ensure Network data is clean, concise and proactively managed. The NSD II engineer highlights issues and drives resolution when required - and in parallel, acts as an escalation point to more junior members of the team. Responsibilities· Effectively manages BAU Data issues via ServiceNow· Performs physical and remote Network audits at Physical and Data Levels· Manages technical data projects on a global and regional scale· Performs and manages data migration projects ensuring time frames are met and escalations are made when required· Proactively Identifies process gaps/issues and recommends areas for improvement· Dynamic forward thinking to ensure customers are not impacted by process/technical failures· Assesses impact of manual workarounds using time/motion studiesProblem Solving/Assessment· Determines and applies appropriate methodologies and tools for analysing a range of functional and/or cross-functional issues (sometimes complex or with a high level of ambiguity)· Proactively Identifies process gaps/issues and recommends areas for improvement· Dynamic forward thinking to ensure customers are not impacted by process/technical failures· Assesses impact of manual workarounds using time/motion studies· Determines and utilizes appropriate methodology including Lean Six Sigma where appropriateRelease Management· Obtains, creates and documents business requirements engaging multiple stakeholders· Creates BRDs and manages cross-functional and cross-regional reviews of low/medium complexity· Works with the BSA's and Dev team on solution design and development· Reviews functional design (FD)· Assesses solutions from multiple angles· Reviews functional design, working closely with BSAs and DEV teams to ensure solution meets requirements· Partners with stakeholders to analyze, define and document business processes within and across functional areas· Utilizes Lean Six Sigma methodology; may design or improve business processes· Assist in performing user acceptance testing (UAT)· Responsible for ensuring UAT is fully planned and executed· Assesses testing progress· Updates process and procedural documentation· Completes post deployment analysis, monitoring and control· Assesses post project benefits and success· Builds training materialProject Management· Creates and coordinates smaller project plans and resources, executing them using appropriate tools and techniques· Ensures resources are in the right place at the right time· Works with stakeholders to gain alignment through implementation and post-implementation stages· Communicates team progress· Creates scope, project charter and stakeholder analysis· Applies appropriate project management skills and best practices including Lean Six Sigma· Identifies and manages risks and issuesReporting and Metrics· Status reporting providing periodic project updates, highlighting risks, issues and concerns· Creates and publishes dashboards· Performs ad-hoc reportingCSI· Supports in making changes to enable customer benefits· Assesses priority based on fit to agreed organisational criteria· Develops CSI opportunities for the wider team to review utilising the CSI methodology to establish effective solutions· Participates in cross functional discussions to drive issues, challenges and prioritisation efforts· Updates CSI and Issues logs ensuring the relevant detail is provided· Is a CSI advocate, pro-actively driving CSI opportunities through to completion
