We're seeking a Technical Specialist to help us deliver our expertly designed technology integrations. Our ideal candidate has a strong technical understanding of audio visual systems/components as well as being a confident salesperson who excels at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. We're seeking a quick learner with strong listening and negotiating skills who can help showcase our solutions in a captivating way.

We're looking for a versatile person who has the knowledge and experience working within an audio-visual environment. Perhaps a field engineer looking to move into a technical sales role or an experienced customer account manager with technical ability.

Ideally, you'll have experience strong technical knowledge to ensure the feasibility of potential proposals principally in Audio Visual and/or one of the following key areas:
• Pro Audio
• Feature and Effect Lighting
• Aerial/ Satellite and Signal Distribution
• Voice & Data Infrastructure
• Access Control Systems & Equipment (smart cards & wearables)

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work with best-in-class Audio Visual in a range of interesting and varying high-end projects, primarily within the Health & Fitness, Retail, Leisure and Hospitality sectors.

Sales experience is desirable although not essential, as long as you have the ability to build relationships, a desire to succeed and are comfortable approaching people to win new business. Please note sales targets will be used as a key performance indicator.

Key Responsibilities will include:
• Making calls and following up with customers to meet their needs
• Developing relationships with potential customers and maintaining good relationships with existing customers
• Providing technical expertise and guidance to the sales team
• Design and specification of systems and solutions
• Performing research on accounts to help increase interest in the organisation
• Offering demonstrations for products and services to potential buyers
• Making sure to understand the individual and unique needs of each customer
• Preparation of accurate quotations and tender submissions to tight deadlines
Skills and qualifications
• 3-5 years working within an audio visual environment either as a field engineer, system designer, technical sales or pre-sales engineer
• A keen interest in and thorough understanding of AV and Technology in general
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, telephone, and organisational skills
• Approachable and professional as you will often be tasked with presenting to customers, attending networking events and participating in trade shows
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn and adapt to new platforms as required
• Full UK Driving Licence, the ability and willingness to travel - the role may include some UK travel (approximately 20%)
• HNC/D equivalent in audio engineering or related field would be desirable but is not essential; the ideal candidate will have many years of experience with all types of AV
