Electrical Team Leader/ Mechanical Team Leader required for a permanent position within an engineering service provider, this role will be based in Northampton

Contracted Hours/ Working Pattern/ Times of Work

40 Hours per week (Monday-Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm). Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualification Requirements

Electrical qualification is essential for the Electrical role (e.g. City & Guilds / BTEC / NVQ3).City & Guilds 17th / 18th Edition is essential for Electrically qualified personnel.

Role/Site Overview

Supervising Engineering compliance and project work at a brewery and supporting the clients Operational Managers in engineering activities.

Details of Role

·Ensure all work is carried out within food safe parameters and client systems.

·Effective use of the clients systems to manage workflow from job creation to completion.

·Resource Management: Direct labour, manage hire equipment, materials ordering and third parties for the cost effective completion of compliance and project work on the site. Ensure purchase orders are raised for all third party costs work by third parties commence.

·Work Planning & Control: work to be planned in advance. Ensure all costs (labour, materials, hire equipment etc) are booked to the correct job number.

·Provide timely feedback to Client and Operational Manager on work in progress and completion.

·Attend planning and ad hoc meetings as required to provide feedback and respond to quote requests within required timescales.

·Manage weekend labour and material requirements.

·Provide weekly labour requirements to Operational Manager in a timely manner.

·Timesheets: Ensure all work is undertaken with a job number and that information is accurate and captured daily.

·Ensure quotations are completed in a timely manner, the scope of work is detailed and costs are accurate.Identify variations

·Carry out on site safety audits and near miss reporting

·Supervision on a regular basis with the responsibility for delivering the required outcomes

·Perform operational duties with autonomy where possible and highlight any issues with Operational Manager.

Person Specification

Sound engineering background with relevant skill set and knowledge

Act with integrity

Good written and oral communication skills

Flexible and pro-active attitude in all aspects of the role including working hours

Good organisational skills
