Apex Recruitment are recruiting for the position of Senior Embedded Software Engineer, for a client who specialises in the design, manufacture and supply of high performance, precision engineering components based in St Neots.

Role: Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Location: St Neots

Contract type: Permanent

Days: 08:00am to 17:00pm Monday - Friday

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

Our client, who specialise in the design and manufacture of precision engineered components for the motorsport and automotive sector are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their team. This role will be to interpret requirements and collaborate in the definition of embedded systems including; the design, development and debugging for systems.

Role:

Implementation of control algorithms particularly for PMSM motor control
Keeping track of progress and provide regular feedback on project status
Work with project managers to estimate timescales for tasks
Deliver projects to agreed deadlines.
Experience:

Proficient programming embedded applications in C/C++,
Using a scripted language (Python or Matlab),
Able to write hardware drivers for a variety of peripherals and interfaces
Experience of the full software development lifecycle
Experience working in multi-disciplined teams
Be educated to Degree level in software or electronic engineering
Good understanding of both electronics and mechanical engineering
Possess good communication skills both verbal and written
