Our client is seeking an experienced full-time CAD / Revit Technician to support the work of their design office, to cover the current role holders' period of maternity leave, with the opportunity to extend this position should the workload allow.
This Educational Furniture Manufacturers requires a design Consultant to design and produce detailed design drawings for New build and refurbishment projects throughout the south East. This role would either suit a CAD Technician / Draughtsman ideally with 1-2 years' similar experience looking to expand their Revit knowledge, or a Revit Technician with 2D AutoCAD experience looking to progress as part of a small team within a friendly environment.
All Necessary job specific training will be provided.
This is a busy role and will involve working within a small design teams within the Educational Furniture Manufacturing business.

Duties include:
Working closely with clients to understand specification requirements for design
· Preparing & Amending 2d AutoCAD drawings
Preparing & Amending 3d Revit drawings
Issuing drawings onto shared platforms & Manage all drawings and documents on computer
· systems
Creating and issuing O&M manual documentation
Externally you will be required to liaise with Clients, Architects and contractors, maintaining good business relationships with all members of the team.
Modelling/co-ordinating layouts within Revit & AutoCAD dependent on the design requirement from our client
Creating Revit families as required.
Setting up Revit drawing sheets
Some site surveying maybe required

You will need the following skills:

6 months or more Revit experience would be Ideal
Minimum 2 years AutoCAD experience. Good working knowledge / experience of AutoCAD is essential

Understanding of Manufacturing processes within the furniture industry would be a bonus
Ability to prioritise and good time management skills are essential.
High degree of self-motivation and ambition.
Remain calm under pressure.
Ability to work on own initiative and problem solve.
Responsible for own development / training to carry out the role effectively and be willing to flex across multiple client accounts and project types.
Perform accurate drawings to specification and installation data
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm
Friday 8.00am - 12.15pm
½ hr lunch 12.30 - 1.00
