Sherwood Forest Hospitals is a medium-sized acute Trust serving a population of 418,000 across mid-Nottinghamshire as well as parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. Services are provided from 3 sites, the largest of which being King's Mill Hospital with around 550 beds. The Trust is aiming at becoming an outstanding organisation and Pharmacy and Medicines Management are an integral part of achieving this goal. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with the right skills and attitude to join our Pharmacy team. This post will be especially suited to a pharmacist looking to develop their management and clinical skills or a pharmacist looking to achieve a chief pharmacist position in their future career. You should have a proven track record of working within clinical pharmacy services and be ready to be a role model within our service taking forward our already well-respected clinical pharmacy services. Key areas of the role include * management of a large team of pharmacists and ward-based Medicines Management Technicians providing a high standard of clinical services to our patients; * acting as secretary to the Drug & Therapeutics Committee; * developing our clinical pharmacy strategy including further development of independent pharmacist prescribing in the organisation * working with colleagues within the Nottinghamshire Integrated Care System to ensure of maximisation of Medicines Optimisation opportunities You will be motivated and driven, possess leadership and management skills to lead and supervise staff. You will work closely with the Chief Pharmacist and will be expected to deputise when required. You will need to understand medicines optimisation agenda and be able to contribute to the Trust successfully achieving its goals which will include the implementation of electronic prescribing and medicines administration over coming months.
