PROFILE

The ideal candidate will have previous support experience as well as the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment along with technical aptitude.

The role will be attractive to someone who has good communication skills with a technical background and the potential to assimilate technical information to a high standard. Candidates must be proactive and be able to push themselves to learn, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to support both clients and internal teams. Attention to detail is essential as is an intermediate understanding of SQL queries and UNIX commands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Software release/patch management.

deploy new releases and patches to internal environments

create/update deployment instructions within JIRA for live/production deployments

Carry out custom modifications to the Tango switch software as required for specific new customer requirements.

review and understand client requirements

liaise with 3rd party supplier and/or Business Analyst to identify best approach

Carry out port configuration and custom modifications as required for Lusis (TANGO Switch vendor) delivery

Provide UAT (helpdesk) support for external clients in the test environment

Provide additional support to internal teams (1st, 2nd and 3rd line) for issues regarding the Tango Switch and related software in the live/production environment

Provide support to the internal QA within the Test & Switch team, assisting with investigating test issues where required

Support the ongoing relationship with Lusis (TANGO Switch vendor) including defect and features

Support BA regarding spec documentation for Switch integrations for new clients

Liaise with internal PPS teams to support the integration, testing and deployment of new payment schemes, customers.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

Helpdesk support experience - to at least 2nd line level

UNIX (working knowledge - able to navigate, view and edit files)

SQL (understand and write queries to intermediate level or above)

Technical background

Working knowledge of XML/ability to understand and read XML at basic level

Positive attitude and outlook, determined, enthusiastic and resilient with a sense of ownership and responsibility.

Integrate within an existing team, work independently with agreed remit and autonomy.

Ability to multi-task with different solutions, projects & multiple objectives.

Capability to self-manage own workload

Ability to work under pressure with a high level of accuracy

Ability to understand and learn technical information quickly.

Comfortable working in a technology space with the ability to solve client issues, sometimes within tight timescales.

Results orientated, self-motivated, persistent, ability to work independently and follow through to deliver objectives.

Excellent communications skills both verbal and written are essential along with good interpersonal skills.

Great organisation skills with impeccable attention to detail.

Self-motivated in order to attain desired objectives and outcomes.
