We are delighted to be working with a " Good " rated Nursery who are growing and have a position for a Nursery Manager on a maternity contract who will be working with the Nursery Directors closely.

As well as driving the Nursery forward, recruiting and Inducting new members of staff and building strong links within the Community there will be additional duties for the Nursery Manager Main responsibilities are to lead the nursery, adhering to all the policies and practises, and acting as a role model and point of guidance for the staff team.

They will ensure the children in the nursery are cared for and developed to an excellent standard, and that all children receive high quality experiences in line with their individual needs.

To ensure good practices, planning and assessment of all children in the rooms. To ensure the smooth running of the daily practices, ensuring practices and policies are followed, including ensuring paperwork is completed to a good standard. To ensure the rooms operate to the required high standards of care and quality, supporting the deputy and room leaders. To address staff and parent queries and ensure parents feel welcome in the nursery at all times.

This is a 41.5 hour per week post, but may require additional hours to ensure the role is fulfilled.

Qualifications

• To have a Level 3 or above Childcare Qualification

• Current First Aid Certificate (for young children/ adults)

• Current Safeguarding Children Certificate Experience

• To have a minimum of five years of experience of caring for young children (with at least 2 years specific experience ensuring good, appropriate behaviour and offering high quality provision, care and delivering high standards of learning and development .

• To have a minimum of two years of experience of working with and/ or leading other adults in a team.

• To have experience of implementing the EYFS.

• To have experience of developing staff/ giving training.

• To have experience of developing good working parental relationships.

• To have experience of implementing core policies, such as Safeguarding, Equality and Health and Safety.
