Athona are working with a Primary School based in North West London, they have been rated 'Good' by Ofsted. They have just recently gone through a period of change and would be a rewarding role to start working with them at this time. They have a lovely senior management team, with good transport links and also a staff car park is available. They have many children that have English as a second language and children make good progress during their time at the school. They are looking for a Year 4 classroom teacher to join them from September 2019 on a long term to permanent basis.

The role:

We are looking for a qualified primary classroom teacher who is confident teaching up to key stage 2. You will be able to devise schemes of work and differentiate for varying levels within the class, including gifted and talented children. You will be required to work standard school hours and preferably be able to work 5 days a week. NQTs will be considered for this role.

The successful applicant is expected to:
  • Qualifications -Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE
  • Effectively teach key stage two curriculum to the highest standards.
  • Assess and mark pupils work, monitoring progression levels.
  • Deliver fun and engaging lessons for Year 4 that also challenge and develop learning.
  • Communicate effectively with pupils, parents and other staff members.
  • Be committed to the schools objectives and teach in line with their ethos.
