We are looking for a Siebel Development Analyst to join our internal IT department which provides multiple services to multiple Clients. The department is responsible for the support and maintenance of business enterprise applications, as well as delivery and support of Business IT.

The department has an integrated Grants system comprising a customised Oracle Siebel CRM, a bespoke .Net external transactional web system, EBusiness and OBIEE - with Oracle Fusion Middleware (FMW) providing the integration middleware.

The purpose of this role is to act as an application architect through taking ownership of changes and customisations required on the system and acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues raised by the support team. The strategic development of the technical implementation, application standards and integration points will be core responsibilities.

They will provide expert technical analysis and any related documentation for:
• system changes, enhancements and developments
• testing and change control
• control of application system processes

Be proactive in identifying opportunities to maximise benefits from applications or other environment software and be jointly responsible with all other support team members for Data security and integrity

The Siebel Developer will be expected to liaise with other technical and functional support teams, Project Managers, Production Services and the Architecture team to ensure that changes are co-ordinated and delivered to the highest standards.



• Providing technical assistance to the Grants Support team and promote the aims and values of the company
• Liaison and negotiation as necessary with ERP technical and functional teams
• Develop formal system documentation
• Working with technical staff to develop best practice and to ensure the overall integrity of the technical architecture.
• Work with DBA's to resolve system problems
• Input into the change processes by providing impact analysis and expert advice on Siebel system and its capabilities through the CAB board
• Develop enhancements and changes based upon Functional specifications
• Co-ordination of applications access and data security with all relevant bodies
• Define document and implement development standards and methodologies
• Support configuration management process
• Maintaining awareness of the changing technical and business environments and developing strategic options for improving services and operations
• Ensuring arrangements are in place to minimise risks to the security of the Siebel application and its underlying data

• Understand the teams' goals and objectives and how the team plan supports wider business goals
• Understand the impact to the company of their team not contributing to that plan effectively.
• Liaise and attend meetings with other organisational functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development
• Complies with all the Health and Safety policy and legislation in the performance of duties and takes reasonable care for personal health and safety and of other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions.


Skills required:

• Understanding of Siebel development lifecycle - Siebel OpenUI.
• Experience of working with multi-integrated applications
• Comfortable using Siebel Tools to modify Siebel repository as per business requirements
• Experience using eScript / Business Objects / Business Services / Workflow Processes / Integration Objects / Web Services/WSDL
• Compiling Siebel build (.srf/dat file export, ddlsynch/repository export/import etc.)
• Experience creating EIM scripts (.ifb) for data fixes, data migration
• VB COM scripting - Siebel connectivity for Object level processing
• Oracle PL/SQl + SQL (SQldeveloper) - experience creating/troubleshooting/running SQL queries
• Experience creating Oracle SQLLoader scripts for loading data
• Web Services integration
• WinScp/Putty/ good understanding of XML
• Familiarity with FMW middleware
• Good communicator, verbal and written
• Team player, able to prioritise tasks and complete with minimum supervision.


• Siebel certified, preferably 7.8 or higher
• Experience of large system support and development
• Knowledge of multiple interfacing systems and data exchange
• Knowledge in any of JQuery, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, XML, BPEL, Oracle SOA, Java, .Net, SharePoint, AWS, SQL
