We are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join our team. This is a great opportunity to become an integral financial influence in a growing SME company, working directly to the Management Team. This role is being offered at an exciting time for Knightsgate (UK) Ltd. You will lead an existing Finance Team that works in a fast paced environment and the role will offer a varied workload to a commercially aware finance professional.

A CIMA/ACCA fully qualified applicant with strong Excel skills and previous commercial experience is desired. Although, part qualified applicants with commercial experience will be considered.

Day to day accounting tasks:

* Monitor and approve Online Banking activity

* Overview the 'cloud' Accounting package to maintain quality and accuracy of the data

* Create journal entries as required

* Monthly payroll duties

* An ability to 'think outside the box' and find solutions is a must

Maintain the integrity of accounting records:

* Monitor reconciliation of the Bank and Credit Card transactions

* Balance sheet reconciliations - overview, investigate and resolve an issues

* Overview nominal ledgers and fixed asset register.

* Manage the statutory reporting process and work closely with external Auditors

Management reporting:

* Monthly management accounts - overview/manage production of reports including P&L and Balance Sheet

* Manage weekly cash flow (plus 2 months forecast) and Aged Debtors and Creditor reports

HMRC reporting:

* Monitor and file monthly CIS returns

* Monitor and file monthly VAT returns

* Monitor and file monthly PAYE

* Liaise with HMRC as and when required

Enhancing financial systems and controls:

* Promote strong team work to maintain the productivity of accounting systems

* Lead the Accounts Teams in an effective manner

* Maintain and improve financial controls and procedures

* Proactively seek enhancements to financial systems and processes

Business Development Funding:

* Work with the Management Team to analyse and determine requirements

* Work with external providers to manage funding

* Seek and obtain new opportunities as required
