Electronic Design Engineer
POSITION: Electronics Engineer LOCATION: Basildon SALARY: £35,000 - £45,000 THE ROLE: An opportunity to work for a family owned global electronics business who are heavily investing in Research & Development to design new voltage monitoring systems for the electricity sector. With the use of electricity increasing globally there is the increasing need to develop new solutions to better monitor the use of electricity so it can be used most effectively and efficiently. Until you start working in this sector you realise the challenges countries around the world face with the increasing use of electricity. Locally in the UK the increase of electric cars, as well as various other electricity dependent appliances, is creating the need to do things differently so electricity can be distributed efficiently. This provides you the opportunity of working on very interesting project work. In this role you will be working on enhancing the technology of current monitoring systems, as well as developing new greenfield ones (to offer solutions to customer requirements). For the role you should be an Electronics Engineer with Analogue and Digital design skills, who has worked on embedded microcontroller/ microprocessor-based systems. You will have the opportunity to work throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to manufacture. SKILLS REQUIRED: Full electronic lifecycle experience (design to EMC) Mixed signal design (Analogue and Digital) Microcontroller / Microprocessor experience Communication protocol experience (RS232, RS485, TCP IP, Ethernet, CAN, Modbus) DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE: Simulation experience (LTSpice) SMPSU knowledge Lithium Ion battery knowledge Worked on products with FPGA's Embedded C (to validate) PCB design (Cadence, Proteus is desirable but not essential) Agile Experience developing products that are used in a Safety Critical or High Integrity industry To apply for this position please contact Andrew Knight at KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd.
