Our client has an exciting opportunity within their in-house payroll team for a Payroll Assistant to join their growing Payroll team in Peterborough Cambridgeshire on a full-time basis. You will be working within a knowledgeable and hard-working payroll team, sharing workloads and responsibilities.

As Payroll Assistant you will be working as a team to:
  • Provide an accurate and timely payroll service.
  • Complete System upgrade testing
  • Maternity & sickness calculations
  • Complete Data synchronisation
  • Take on and complete various projects and ad hoc reporting

What skills and experience will you need for the role of Payroll Assistant?
  • Previous experience of working in a payroll environment
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Strong analytical skills
  • A methodical person who is highly organised and able to work to strict deadlines
  • Be a team player, who takes a hands-on approach to your work
  • Take ownership of any issues and not be afraid to question where necessary.

This is a varied and interesting role paying a salary of up to £22,500 per annum to the successful candidate!
