We're looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join our clients busy stroke support team in the Blackpool area, as a Stroke Support Coordinator. Position: Stroke Support Coordinator Location: Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre (office based) with regular travel across the service area Hours: 21 hours per week - working pattern open to discussion Salary: circa £13,800 per annum Contract: Fixed term contract until 31 March 2020 (Our clients services are contracted; they currently have funding for this contract until 31March 2020) Benefits: 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays (this will increase with service up to 30 days, full time equivalent) cashback and discount scheme, employee assistance programme, learning and development, pension scheme, Life Assurance, season ticket loan, Eye Care vouchers, Long Service Award, Cycle2Work scheme, Tax-free childcare, Health Cash Plan, Working Pattern Agreement, flexible working opportunities available. Closing Date: 8 September 2019 Interview Date: 17 September 2019 The Role The role will be office based in the Blackpool office with regular travel across the Fylde Coast. Reporting to the Stroke Support Manager, the Stroke Support Coordinator will: Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community. Provide personalised information, advice and support. Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting and managing volunteers would be an advantage. About You The Stroke Support Coordinator will have experience/background in: A caring profession with experience of supporting people with disabilities. Setting up and running support groups. You will have excellent IT skills and demonstrate a flexible approach to your role. The use of a car with business use cover and the ability to drive is essential to be able to fulfil the requirements of the role - essential travel will be reimbursed.
