Legal Assistant - Holiday Sickness

£20,000 - £25,000 plus bonus

Our client is a well-established and award winning organisation.They are based in modern, state of the art offices and actively encourage career progression and training. They are now recruiting for a Legal Assistant who has experience of working in the Holiday Sickness part of the Legal Sector.

You will be based within the Holiday Sickness business team and due to increased workloads they need another team member. The role is complex and involves:

·Regular contact with Defendant representatives

·Progressing a Holiday Sickness claim from initial enquiry through to conclusion on Trial

·After training and hands on experience you will become proficient in contested civil litigation

·Taking new instructions on a daily basis

·Drafting letters of claim

·Preparing schedules of losses

·Drafting witness statements

·Instructing Counsel

·Issuing proceedings

·Disclosure of documents

·Conferences with counsel

·Preparation for Trial

·Attendance at Trial

The successful candidate

·Will have experience of working in the legal sector and within Holiday Sickness

·Have the desire to progress their career further within the Legal industry

·Enjoy being part of a busy and dynamic team

·Have commercial awareness and a strong service approach to work

·Will possess excellent communication skills
