A global logistics and packaging business is expanding their Fareham based finance team with a capable and driven Management Accountant for a Business Unit role.

Working as part of a team this role will be responsible for the financial management, controls and reporting for several Business Units which they will act as business partners to. Responsibilities will include:

To provide financial business partnering support to the Business Unit Director and management team.
To provide accurate and timely Financial/Management accounts to support the effective monitoring of the business unit.
To be responsible for agreement of monthly packaging numbers.
To prepare, analyse and report, on a monthly basis or as required all distribution data.
To provide on-site financial control to all aspects of the business unit
To monitor and control capital investment projects.
To be responsible for monitoring and reporting of fixed assets within the business unit ensuring that capital additions and asset disposals are processed.
Monitor and report the expenditure and headcount of a group of indirect cost centres.
To produce annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Business Modelling - what if scenarios.

Candidates:

We are looking for a high calibre individual with a demonstrable track record of success and progression in their career to date. You will also be nearly or fully qualified CIMA or ACCA (or equivalent) and be technically sound with a proven analytical and management accounting background ideally gained within a products based environment. Experience of working to US GAAP would be beneficial.

You will also have strong systems skills, be a self starter, highly motivated to progress and achieve, able to identify and drive process improvements ideally with evidence of this in a previous role.
