The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a retail strategy manager, Electricals,The role will be based in Richmond. This is a 12 months contractor role.

You will be joining UK's trading organisation at exciting time, helping to build our trading team and culture. As part of the Electricals and Home Entertainment trading team you are part of a high performing and diverse team, which connects buyers and sellers on their unique marketplace.

This is a highly commercial and analytical role, responsible for planning, optimisation and management of large retailers and multi category sellers selling on the platform. You will also play a key role in building the team's trading skills and best practices.

You will be working with major retailers and renowned brands to generate sales by analysing and optimising their performance in terms of range, data optimisation, managing large retailers' promotional calendar and program managing business development opportunities within the assigned portfolio. You will be accountable for both the operational and commercial success of the retailer portfolio and the wider category experience and retail standards.

Key responsibilities:

Manage several Electronics sellers performance, development and optimize trading plans.

More specifically:
Optimizing the virtual shelf space by improving data quality and data adoption
Engage with existing key sellers to understand specific trends, initiatives and opportunities
Analyse, report and manage weekly performance of the assigned portfolio
working closely with category managers to plan product ranges
predicting sales and profits, identifying and delivering optimisation opportunities
Planning and agreeing stock promotions/price reductions as appropriate
Managing retailer quarterly planning across all categories
Assessing sales performance of different ranges working collaboratively with category managers to identify retailer strategy for the different categories.
Devising annual commercial strategy for each account
Supporting contract negotiation

Functional skills:
Successfully completed a degree in Data science, Analytics or Operations research,
Excellent analytical skills and comfortable working with numbers and large volume of data
Proficient in SQL; comfortable in writing and executing data warehouse queries
Advanced Excel manipulation skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Strong commercial acumen
Able to cope with pressure
