TECHNICAL CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVISOR - TRAINING PROVIDED WITH OPPORTUNITY TO WORK TOWARDS AN INDUSTRY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATION

A rare opportunity has arisen to join our client as Technical Advisor. The purpose of the role is to provide technical support and advice to customers, carry out quality assurance audits and contribute to the development of technical documents and software manuals.

Our growing client is part of a group of companies which supply services to the construction industry, including specialist software. They are a market leader in their field of expertise and boast a national presence with divisions across the UK.

The role would suit candidates who are adept with technology and demonstrate work experience in a telephone-based customer service role.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide technical and software support via phone and email

• Log all inbound calls on the call register

• Work towards the relevant industry qualifications

• Carry out quality assurance audits

• Assist in developing organisational policies and procedures

• Review and assist with the development of training courses and materials

• Conduct accompanied visits where required

• Develop and contribute to technical documents and manuals

• Assist in the development of software platforms

• Carry out assessments

• Any other related duties as required by the Line Manager

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Adept with technology, familiar with mobile, website and desktop technologies

• Experience in a telephone-based customer service role

• Strong telephone skills

• Excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent communication skills: ability to understand and explain complex issues over the phone or via email

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Ability to assess, analyse and interpret data

• Ability to interpret and understand technical and legal documents

• Understanding of the Data Protection Act 1999, GDPR and principles of confidentiality
