Our client is pioneering the next generation of hypersonic & space access propulsion.

We are seeking an innovative solution focused Senior IT Manager with project management experience to manage the IT service at a growing engineering company based in Abingdon. Supporting organisational growth, you will seek continuous improvement and efficiencies through the IT provision, ensuring cybersecurity and enabling the success of the organisations aims and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line management of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Departmental management and day-to-day administration of the internal network and IT systems, both at the Culham site and local subsidiary sites, including IT security and the internal Service Desk facility
  • Manage contracts with 3rd party vendors, suppliers and contractors
  • Maintain and develop supplier relationships and the development of long-term Service Level Agreements
  • Plan, design and implement IT system upgrades in line with company growth
  • Manage and deliver a variety of IT improvement projects
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies to ensure an integrated contribution to the businesses corporate objectives
  • Ensure appropriate audit and compliance activities are in place (e.g. ISO)

Experience Requirements
  • Experienced line management capability
  • At least 5 years' experience managing IT infrastructure across several sites
  • The ability to manage 3rd party outsourced services
  • Experience in the delivery of a range of IT Infrastructure Projects
  • Office365/ Active Directory/ VMWare
  • Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
  • Windows operating systems 7/8.1/10
  • Microsoft Exchange 2016
  • Experience / Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 27001
