The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who is enthusiastic about delivering excellent customer service. It would be extremely advantageous if you have a proven track record of dealing with difficult customers and calmly defusing situations. To be successful in this role you will have a keen enjoyment for driving, which merged with customer service skills is an excellent recipe to ensure you are successful in the operation of your duties as a PCV Driver.

The opportunities from being a driver are extremely broad. Excellent performance can often result in promotion opportunities within the operations area of the business, if you have the desire to pursue this avenue.

As a driver you will focus on the analogy ABC, which refers to Acceleration, Braking and Cornering. Applying ABC not only ensures the safety of our passengers but also helps us to potentially reduce our carbon footprint to aid the environment.

You will be responsible for operating a variety of routes within the depots remit. Therefore, you will have good geographical knowledge of the area you work in and will be able to assist customers with any queries regarding the service.


You will be responsible for the safety and welfare of our passengers by offering a safe and comfortable transportation service whilst you are in charge of operating a PCV Vehicle. You must ensure that you adhere to legislation set out by the Road Traffic Act 1988 and the Highway Code and act in accordance with UK Bus standards.

Essential Criteria

- Be aged 19+

- Must be able to report for duty at the earliest 4:00 am

- You must hold a Valid PVC License, previous experience of PCV/HGV driving is highly advantageous

- Hold a current Driving Licence with no more than 6 points

- Be able to pass a Medical which includes drug and alcohol testing

- DQC card (CPC) is preferred, however, full training can be given.

- Undertake a DBS disclosure
