My client, an ambitious and leading global marine engineering business, is looking to find a Field Service Resource Team Lead to join its organisation and support the team with coordinating and managing its field service assets and engineers. (Please note, you do not need engineering experience to apply)

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a team lead within a customer focused environment, and will have strong leadership, admin and organisational skills. This will be a vital role within the business as you will be the main point of contact for all of the field service engineers out in the field.

Cohesion and cooperation is key to a successful business, and that applies to this role. You will be working closely with other managers throughout the business, in the project management, commissioning and service teams to ensure the delivery of high quality service to the customer.

What you will be doing
  • Acting as main point of contact and effectively manage field service engineers, coordinating availability and matching engineers against relevant assignments
  • Play a key role in the professional development of field service engineers
  • Manage travel needs and documentation (Organising visas, travel plans, accommodation, medicals, H&S etc.)
  • Manager performance reviews, appraisals, absences and disciplinaries when appropriate.
  • Play a key role in developing/introducing new KPIs including field service engineer utilisation rates
  • Work with the global company network to identify and recruit local resource where appropriate
  • When necessary manage and co-ordinate third party contractors
