Senior Buyer - Nottingham - competitive salary

Chase & Holland are once again working with a Nottingham based retailer who are looking to recruit a Senior Buyer. Working as part of a team, you will be an experienced buyer ideally within the retail or wholesale sector.

Senior Buyer responsibilities:
  • The role will involve negotiating prices with suppliers for new and existing product lines
  • You will ensure goods are delivered on time, be responsible for range reviews, promotional activity, negotiating terms, stock availability and stockholding.
  • You will review sales to interpret customer needs and react to any changes
  • The role needs someone with good commercial awareness and creativeness
  • Control and deliver KPIs: Profit, sales, stockholding, availability
  • Work with data, analyse promotions and work on range reviews

Key requirements and preferences:
  • Ideally 5 years or more wholesale or retail industry
  • Category experience
  • Great negotiation and sourcing skills
  • Strong academics - ideally educated to HNC/degree level or equivalent
