The Client:

My client are one of the leading financial services companies in the the South of England. They are looking to bring in an experienced Project Manager to help deliver multiple projects acrossthe business.

The Role:

Project managers ensure a project is completed on time and within budget, that the project's objectives are met and that everyone else is doing their job properly. Projects are usually separate to usual day-today business activities and require a group of people to work together to achieve a set of specific objectives. Project managers oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied. A Project Manager will also have some authority to make decisions on behalf of the Business to ensure that a project remains on track. Must possess strong technical as well as practice management skills in order to execute the project.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Looking for a generalist Project Manager, who has great variation in terms of the types of projects they have managed. Typically in the past the projects have been more business focused, with elements of tech. Now this is shifting with more of a focus on the tech side of things.
- Would be beneficial to have financial services experience
-Agile & Prince2 experience

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

* Extensive in a project environment, with demonstrable analysis experience
* Managing the constraints of the project management triangle - cost, time, scope and quality.
* Creating clear and attainable project objectives within project management methodology best practice, ideally Prince2 or Agile.
* Understanding of the software life-cycle methodology and ensure quality assurance standards in the work done.
* Good written/verbal communication skills and workshop/meeting management ability, including supporting all impacted parties to understand all the technical and complex aspects of projects in a simple manner, which aids in clear business communication.
* Ability to create technical requirements and document them for the team's guidance.
* Ability to communicate project status through meetings and status reports.
* Ability to plan own activities, and also work as part of a team and contribute to overall planning activities.
* Ability to define and procure, where necessary, project delivery requirements like human resources, contractors, material or technology needed to accomplish project objectives.
* Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, problem-solving skills, decision-making skills, interpersonal skills, and leadership qualities.
* Ability to adapt and be flexible to changes in a dynamic environment to ensure successful project outcomes.
* Demonstrated ability to bind the individuals together and makes sure it results in collective success.
* Experience of formal techniques and supporting tools for project management.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

* Experience of the financial services industry.
* Ability to oversee the work of a technical project delivery team, while considering business management aspects.
* Computer science, software engineering, information systems, or any other technical field formal education.
* Good working understanding of the constraints and capabilities of computer systems.
