Brewster Partners are working with a Rotherham based engineering business who are looking to recruit a Production Controller.


Job purpose:

Working closely with all internal departments, suppliers, external service providers and customers to ensure production is organised and smoothly run. This will achieve and maintain OTD whilst ensuring customers are kept up to date and informed.

Main duties of the role will include:
  • To input/manage sales orders from customers, manual entry & electronically with
  • To assist with the raising of Work Orders relevant to any new sales order requirements. utilising the MRP This process is key to the business and will need to be managed carefully & efficiently.
  • To work closely with the Production team, inspection and dispatch to assist with the prompt delivery of orders to meet customer demands. This will involve actively being involved with shop floor processes to manage the flow of finished goods through to
  • Advise on lead time profile to each RFQ reply
  • To be a team player within the business, supporting all areas of the business where
  • Work with the team to ensure invoices are raised and sent
  • Provide weekly status reports and / or gant charts to Commercial Department for key
  • Issue Daily / Weekly Schedules to all machines on the shop
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting to line manager key KPI's including On Time Delivery to Customers, Schedule Adherence and New orders to be released. To then provide a detailed Root cause analysis for any
  • Implement and manage a Daily Adherence meeting to discuss, review and distribute actions regarding production output and

  • Driven self-starter with organisation and planning skills and attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to read technical drawings
  • Ability to liaise with customers directly
  • Computer literate
  • Great communication skills
  • Previous Production Controller experience
  • Knowledge of CNC Machining Processes (desirable)
  • Knowledge of Material specifications (desirable)
  • Experience of using Javelin MRP software (desirable)
