My client, a well-known and respected financial institution is currently recruiting for an Internal Auditor position based in London.

They are looking for candidates that have experience in industry, such as Audit Managers who are looking for a new challenge. The role would suit someone who thrives in a strategic and complex environment, enjoys variety, has a forensic mindset, is able to hold their own with senior management and wants to take ownership for audit delivery and their own development.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and handle small groups to carry out audits through the legislative process of authorisations, oversight, enforcement and other company support operations.
  • Build a job portfolio and simultaneously manage various audit job and non-audit work.
  • Play an active role in enhancing the workings of the division of Internal Audit.
  • Build and retain powerful working relationships including with executive directors with various stakeholders.

Essential Skills:
  • Leading team experience, coaching and providing feedback and effective delegation to junior staff.
  • Proven abilities in project management, including the capacity to apply project management disciplines in conducting audit reviews according to audit methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities and challenging forensic thinking assumes the capacity to absorb complicated data rapidly.
  • Recognised professional skills and/or memberships for accountancy or internal audit.

This is a 4 month contracting position with the view to extend further or go perm, offering competitive daily rates up to £450 per day (PAYE).
