HSEQ Team Leader Introduction:

Today, we employ more than 700 specialists across bases in Europe, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East.

Due to our success and growth plans, we are now looking for an experienced HSEQ Team Leader to join our team based at our Head Office in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen.

Main Purpose

The HSEQ Team Leader will:

·fulfill a senior role within the HSEQ Department and will provide leadership aligned to developing and maintaining a culture of safe and high quality service delivery.

·provide direction and support to ensure that TWMA's global operations are managed in accordance with all relevant legal, client and company management system requirements at all times.

·support the Group HSEQ Manager within all aspects and will deputise for them in their absence.

·be required to visit and audit work sites both onshore and offshore globally.

HSEQ Team Leader Main Responsibilities Include:

·Encourage and promote HSEQ awareness in all operational activities and worksites.

·Participation in the development and implementation of HSEQ management system policies and procedures.,

·Ensure the management system has relevant provisions to comply with all applicable regulations, codes of practice and industry standards.

·Identification of trends regarding the recurrence of accidents/incidents/near misses/NCR's providing feedback and recommendations to the Group HSEQ Manager and senior management team.

·Oversee the investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses and non-conformances and the identification of corrective actions.

·Development and delivery of HSE training courses to both onshore and offshore personnel, as required.

·Promoting the effective use of existing HSE management tools and techniques on each worksite.

·Liaise with relevant regional industry regulators.

·Liaise with clients during performance review meetings and audits.

·Ensure ongoing certification of management system and participate in third party audits.

Manage Personnel:

·Develop a highly skilled and effective regional HSEQ Team.

·Provide support and regularly communicate with subordinate staff both formally and informally, as required, to ensure the highest level of operations are achieved and expectations are understood.

·Set performance targets for all processes and personnel for which you are responsible for in conjunction with the Group HSEQ Manager.

·Ensure that subordinate staff are adequately trained and ensure their personal development is continued in order to meet the growth of the business.

·Prioritise and delegate HSEQ workload as required to ensure that all HSEQ matters are actioned.

Tenders, Contracts and Proposals:

·Contribute toward health, safety, environmental and quality information for tenders, contracts and proposals in conjunction with the Group HSEQ Manager and the Tenders and Proposals department.

Qualifications & Training:


·NEBOSH Certificate (minimum)

·Accident Investigation

·ISO Lead Auditor


·Degree level education

·Taproot Accident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis Training

·Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET)

HSEQ Team Leader Experience:


·Previous experience in HSEQ Supervisor/Senior Advisor role

·Identifying, interpreting and implementing relevant HSEQ Legislation and industry standards

·Working with externally certified HSEQ Management Systems

·Input into development, implementation and review of HSEQ management system related documents (policy, standards, procedures)


·Working within the oil and gas or energy industries

·Experience of working with HSEQ Legislation outside of the UK

Complying with Procedures:

·Ensure all operations comply with the Company and Client operating policies and procedures.

·Ensure all operations comply with the Company Health and Safety policy.

·Be aware of company conditions of employment as detailed in the Employee Handbook.

·Liaise with the HR Department to assure compliance with current employee law legislation and employment contract and keep up to date with other current legislation, legal requirements and regulations that apply to the company.
