Payroll Manager/HR

Salary up to 35k

Working in a small team you will be responsible for effectively managing and processing the payroll process. Implement process improvements, test system changes, and lead special projects related to the payroll department. You must have strong people management experience, with the ability to get the best out of people and motivate them to achieve good outcomes and excellent interpersonal and written skills with good IT skills and an excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel.

Having HR experience to supplement your payroll skills to include understanding UK employment legislation and process improvement practices and methodologies

Duties will include but are not limited to: -

* Processing manual calculations including SSP, SMP, annual leave, and other statutory payments

* Fully comply with HMRC regulations

* Process pension auto-enrolment

* Ad-hoc duties to support the HR Department ie. Interviews, contracts.

* Including contract and casual payroll calculation and processing, for up to 400 staff.

• Administering payments of sick pay, holidays, leave and other statutory payments

• Working with the Time and Attendance systems, and resolving and anomalies efficiently

• Responsible for the Payroll and Pension elements of Auto-Enrolment and its delivery

• Excel and computerised system skills, ideally SAP ADP Freedom and e-Time

• Minimum of 5+ years' payroll experience

• Knowledge of pension schemes practices and pension scheme administration
