Pharmacist Job Description - Maternity Contract - £35-£45k

14 Month Contract for a GPHC registered Pharmacist/Superintendent for a new distance selling pharmacy in Drayton Gloucestershire. Ideally a Pharmacist with experience of wholesaling and distribution of pharmacy products and associated understanding of GMP/GDP procedures.

Essential duties:

Create, and monitor compliance of all the Standard Operating Procedures in the Pharmacy.
Prescription receipt, legal and bona fide checks of patients and prescribers, clinical screening and intervention where needed.
Carry out bona fide checks of suppliers.
Maintain the patient medication record (PMR).
Dispense pharmacy products.
Receipt of stock, inventory management and replenishment using first expiry, first out (FEFO) principles.
Patient follow up and reporting of any Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs).
Provide patient advice and signposting
Schedule deliveries, making sure products are delivered in accordance with the prescribers / patient's wishes.
Keep up to date with personal performance, carry out relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and work within own competence.Essential duties for the Pharmacist/Superintendent role:

Responsible for all aspects in the running of the pharmacy, ultimate responsibility for the clinical governance and regulatory compliance of the pharmacy.
Ensure there is a robust Quality System in Place for Pharmacy which complies with UK Law and GPhC standards
Ensure Policies are in place for Information and Clinical Governance
Ensure there is an Information Governance (IG) lead in place
Ensure all staff are trained and competent.
Ensure self-audits are carried out.
Ensure there is a pharmacy staff rota in place three months in advance
The premises are suitable for the safe and effective storage of medicines

Take direction from Responsible Person and carry out assigned duties as per the Deputy Responsible Person and detailed within the Medical Quality System GDP and GMP procedures.
Report any suspected falsified medicines to the RP if required and MHRA, as required.
Report any deviations and complaints that could lead to a recall to the RP and liaise with the Marketing Authorisation Holder if required
Maintain training compliance in GDP and GMP procedures
Ensure that all staff employed temporarily or permanently carrying out activities for Medical are trained appropriately
Provide internal GDP/GMP training in the absence of RP
Escalate issues to the Responsible Person and agree actions
Manage the complaints process
Collate data for Management Review Meetings, attend meetings and carry out any agreed actionsDuties for Cosmetics:

Maintaining Product Information Files (PIF) for cosmetic products
Liaise with regulatory consultant on cosmetic regulations (cosmetic notifications, product information files, safety assessments)
