Solutions Consultant - D/C Modernisation Location: Home / Office based Reporting to: Head of Consulting Pre-Sales and Strategy Salary: Competitive dependent on experience Package includes: Company car / car allowance, phone, laptop, certified training & benefits package Due to continued growth we have a fantastic opportunity for a pre-sales consultant to join the Comms-care solutions team to act as a Solutions Consultant , focussing on Data Centre Modernisation . As a Solutions Consultant within Comms-care you will be responsible for driving new opportunities, within your specialism, through the sales cycle from initial qualification through to successful handover to the internal technical delivery ; Other key responsibilities of the role include acting as the interface between the internal sales and technical teams, working with channel partners, end-customers and internal stakeholders in a trusted advisory capacity and assisting with the identification and development of our solutions offerings. Responsibilities The principal responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to, the following: Channel Partner and Vendor Relationships Build and maintain a strong relationship with Comms-care's channel partner's pre-sales, sales and technical teams Manage channel partner and end-customer relationships in partnership with account management and service delivery teams Actively promote pre-sales, solutions offerings and consulting capabilities to channel partners Solutions Development Provide input to the development and evolution of solutions offerings Provide pre-sales support and educate the internal sales team on latest solutions offerings Engagement Governance Provide overarching technical assurance on statement of works, bids and proposals Provide consistent handover of engagements from pre-sales to delivery teams Solutions Pre-Sales and Scoping Provide technical representation at end-customer pre-sales meetings and qualification calls Own, lead and contribute to statement of works, bid responses and proposals Peer review and provide overarching solutions sign-off on statement of works, bid responses and proposals Proactively manage pre-sales opportunities through the defined internal sales cycle to ensure timely and efficient submission to the channel partner Lead overarching solutions art-of-the-possible workshops with end-customers and assist with the creation of their strategic technology roadmap Attend end-customer project kick-off meetings, as appropriate, to ensure seamless handover from pre-sales to delivery As a pre-sales focussed Solutions Consultant specialising in Data Centre Modernisation, you should have experience and a passion for helping customers through the modernisation of their data centre with technologies in our core portfolio including: Hybrid Cloud Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Azure Stack, Amazon Web Services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Amazon Web Services Outpost, Google Cloud Platform (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), VMware Cloud on Amazon Web Services (NSX-T, Amazon EC2 / S3 / AWS services integration, VMware HCX) Enterprise Virtualisation VMware Software Defined Data Centre (vSphere, NSX-V & T, vSAN, vRealize Suite) Desirable Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate / Expert AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate / Professional VMware Certified Professional: Data Center Virtualization VMware Certified Advanced Professional: Data Center Virtualization Design Knowledge, Skills and Characteristics Experience in a technical consulting type role Commercially astute Excellent communicator both verbally and written (must have strong experience in writing scopes and proposals) Experienced, mature, influential, assertive and diplomatic Able to operate independently or as part of a larger team Able to network with industry peers and customers Industry leading knowledge of chosen subject matter A flexible approach to work and prepared 'go the extra mile' to exceed customer expectations Applies knowledge and skills through handling complex problems beyond own area of expertise Company Overview Comms-care (a wholly owned subsidiary of Ingram Micro Inc.) is the UK's market-leading strategic service partner to the IT channel community.
