Job Requirements: To monitor maintain professional standards within the NMC code of professional conduct, and according to regulations and policy. To acknowledge any limitations of competence within yourself and other nursing staff within the clinical area. And to refuse in such areas to accept or delegate procedure without first having received/given instructions in these procedures as having been assessed or competent. To have responsibility for the direct delivery of patient care by demonstrating high standards of clinical competence, maintaining leadership and taking responsibility for our own professional development. To report to the Nurse Manager any complaints relating to professional misconduct or incapacity. To forge an open and honest culture. To be aware of recent research To provide training for Care Assistants To take the role of named nurse for a group of residents To audit standards of care within the nursing home To maintain adequate and safe staff levels. To maintain confidentiality with all information obtained through professional or clinical access To maintain a safe environment which meets Health and safety requirements and to report any hazards or potential hazards.
