PR Account Manager - Competitive Salary + Profit Share - London, UK (w/opportunities for flexible working)

The Role

We're looking for a PR Account Manager who is ready to take a step up to the next level to join our thriving Food & Drink team and support some of our well-known household brands. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role, truly owning client relationships across a diverse portfolio as you establish fruitful relationships with some of our biggest clients.

You will be responsible for the effective and efficient execution on a day-to-day management, execution and development of assigned PR and Social programmes, managing resources at your disposal in the most effective way. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in account management to make the next step up with a dynamic and rapidly growing firm.

The key responsibilities of a PR Account Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with the team to provide best-in-class service and deliver innovative solutions to clients' business needs

  • Being involved in all aspects of media relations, including writing news releases, organising interviews etc, using all available tools to maximise opportunities for coverage

  • Supporting with content creation, reviewing drafts of monthly social content for clients and overseeing community management

  • Managing programmes, campaigns and projects involving off and online media, social media and networking engagement; as well as the organisation of press and other events/functions

  • Performing other aspects of copy writing including literature, newsletters, social media, reports, etc.

  • Understanding how to scope out potential influencers and engage with them to secure opportunities on a free and paid-for basis

  • Identifying new business opportunities and contributing to preparing proposals and, where appropriate, taking part in new business presentations

  • Briefing, negotiating, and liaising with suppliers (printers, photographers, designers etc) and ensuring work is on-time, on-budget and meets creative standards and parameters

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a PR Account Manager:

  • 4 years of PR experience

  • Confident team leader with good time management skills and a 'can do' attitude

  • A track record in delivering impactful campaigns

  • Strong presentation skills with clients and in pitches

  • Excellent communicator, having both strong verbal and written skills

  • Drinks experience

  • Passionate about media and cultural trends and how they can translate to your clients' audiences - through earned media and paid, owned and shared channels
