I am seeking an energenic and customer service driven candidate with a background in IT who is looking for their next challenge, working for an established IT company based in St. Ives on a temporary to permanent basis.

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be required to meet and exceed customer expectations, both remotely and on site, by being presentable, demonstrating excellent communication skills and genuine interest in IT hardware and software.

Daily responsibilities will include:
  • Collection of IT equipment from customer sites and return to base office
  • Configure, deliver and install IT equipment such as computers, laptops, routers and switches to customer sites
  • Perform problem diagnosis on IT equipment and systems seeking to resolve, or report findings back
  • Provide basic IT inductions to end users on Laptops, printers, emails and mobile phones

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
  • Well presented with a confident demeanour
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Be able to work independently

The following experience is also desiarable:
  • Good understanding of Windows 7/10 OS
  • Basic understanding of Windows Server 2012/2016 OS
  • Knowledge of computer networks, including the ability to configure and diagnose routers, switches and Wi-Fi access points
  • Basic knowledge of cabling, specifically terminating Cat5/6e would be highly advantageous

As this is a field-based role, country wide travel will be a requirement so a full, clean UK driving licence is a requirement.
