ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - CONTRACT 3-6 MONTHS - FARNHAM

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Maintain accurate records and gain knowledge of all of the procedures of the Accounts department by fulfilling functions as directed by the department head.

Job Context

The Accounts department is required by the Company to provide a service to management. To accomplish this task it must fulfil a number of different functions. The holder of this job must eventually be able to flex into any of these functions. As a result of this, the employee may be undertaking any task in the Accounts Department at any point in time.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• To accurately record information in a computerised or any other manner.

• To prepare analysis on information in any manner stipulated.

• To maintain ledgers to show accurate reflections of the accounts.

• To investigate discrepancies wherever they occur and take sufficient corrective action.

• Complete statutory information as and when required.

• Contribute to efficiencies that can be made.

• To assist in other Departments as business circumstances dictate.
