Advanced Engineering Solutions Ltd are based in Cramlington in Tyne & Wear, and employs over 30 staff. The company is a specialist pipeline and pipeline equipment engineering business providing inspection, performance assessment and maintenance for the gas, oil and water pipeline industries. The Company has core expertise in mechanical, civil, material, electronics and software engineering. AES are a wholly owned subsidiary of Hydrosave UK Ltd who are based in Kettering, Northamptonshire and part of the wider SSI Services group.

About The Vacancy

We are recruiting a full time Management Accountant to work for AES based at the Cramlington office, working with the local operational management and administrative team, and reporting directly to Operational Director.

The role and principal responsibilities may be summarised as follows: -

* Preparation and reporting of monthly financial statements

* To communicate and liaise with business stakeholders at all levels to ensure the timely communication of accounting information

* Preparation and posting of month end journals

* Implement and maintain appropriate financial controls

* To liaise with internal and group functions to facilitate the timely transfer of accounting and payroll data and documentation

* Provide day to day and month end cashbook reconciliations

* To facilitate the timely collection of cash and credit control

* To maintain control account reconciliations on a monthly basis

* To work with senior business managers in the preparation of annual budgets and on-going forecasting

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

* Has achieved or is working towards (final stage) a relevant professional qualification (i.e. CIMA, ACCA, ACA)

* Possesses good analytical and logical problem solving skills

* Can develop a good business understanding

* Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and work closely with stakeholders at all levels within the business

* Possesses good attention to detail

* Microsoft Office competent with especially strong Excel skills

* Awareness of Sage accounting software would be an advantage

* Ability to work to tight deadlines

* Honesty and discretion at all times

About The Package

Salary £30k- £33k dependant on experience and qualifications

Pension Up to 6% matched contribution

Annual Holiday 20 days rising to 25 days plus bank holidays
