Job title: Accounts Administration Assistant (Part Time - Flexible) - 2 days a week @ 6 hours per day

Summary

We are a property development company based in Egham. We are recruiting an accounts/office assistant to help with the running of our growing business. This roll will be part-time and lead into a full-time roll.

Knowledge of sage not essential but would be beneficial.

Key responsibilities:
  • Keeping financial records up to date
  • Managing petty cash
  • Working with sales / purchase ledger
  • Credit control
  • Preparation of accounts
  • Managing post
  • Writing and handling cheques
  • Processing purchase orders
  • Reconciliation of finance accounts
  • Processing invoices & expense forms
  • Following and using Accounts systems
  • Providing administrative support to the team
  • Contractor CIS
  • Monthly VAT returns
  • Project reports/ Costing Reports
  • Completing credit account forms
  • Filing
  • Chasing up invoices
  • Ensuring office is tidy and presentable
  • Answering door - providing visitors with refreshments and taking deliveries
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Stationary ordering
  • Any other adhoc duties when required

The Ideal candidate:
  • Enthusiastic, committed and a fast learner with previous experience of a busy environment
  • Computer literate with an aptitude for numbers
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accountancy procedures
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external suppliers and contacts
  • Solid organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
  • Accounting experience
