A school in Enfield is currently recruiting for an English SEND teacher to work with KS3, KS4 and KS5 students that have a range of special needs.

The School

Everything the school does is focused on providing 'Learning for Life' for pupils aged 4-19 with special educational needs.

The school's ethos is centred towards innovation, independence and inclusion. Placing great importance on personalised learning, with a curriculum that is built around literacy, communication, numeracy, ICT, independence, health, creativity and confidence. their aim is to equip each pupil with a 'suitcase' of skills to help them progress on to further education and into the world of work.

The Role

The school is looking for an enthusiastic English teacher who has the energy and passion to motivate students in the classroom. The role will consist of delivering English as an employability skill to the majority of KS3 and GCSE English to the KS4 students. Both KS3 and 4 classes have SEMH needs. Therefore behaviour management experience is pivotal to be successful in this post. The KS5 delivery is to an internship group of 16-24 year-old students that have a mixture of SEN needs. The goal of this KS5 group is to support their employment and how English can do that.

To be considered for this English Teacher position you must have:
  • You will need to have previous experience of working with young people with EBD/SEMH.
  • You will need to have QTS or a relevant teaching qualification.
  • You will be required to be committed to the development of both yourself and the pupils in your class.
  • You must be able to deliver outstanding teaching and learning alongside a multi-disciplinary classroom team
  • You must understand and be committed to safeguarding children.
