Rare opportunity for a Commercial Finance Lead / Manager to oversee a key contract business unit within a renowned, global, multi-billion turnover, Lancashire based PLC.

  • Acting as finance lead for all aspects of business unit contract commercial finance.
  • Driving critical contract decisions, change and profitability from a finance viewpoint, ensuring full clarity and maximum efficiency at all times.
  • Business Partnering key senior stakeholders throughout, to establish and maintain positive and efficient working relationships and drive business requirements.
  • Managing small and generally autonomous contract finance teams (part qualified & qualified staff).
  • Leading the continuous orchestration and implementation of contract processes, procedures, systems, controls and best-practice.
  • Responsible for timely preparation and presentation of commentary to support costs and KPI's.
  • Responsible for leading all financial, commercial and administrative duties across multiple contract sites in the Northern UK region.
  • Identifying weaknesses and opportunities for driving costs and margins - planning and acting on these according to increase revenue.
  • Supporting Head of Commercial Finance (UK) on ad-hoc projects.

  • Qualified Accountant status.
  • Experienced in a contract accountancy environment.
  • Has prior experience in a commercial finance lead or managerial role.
  • Capable of interpreting large volumes of data and presenting meaningful, influential commentary.
  • Resilient with proven experience repairing, building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders.

This position is closely aligned with the northern UK operations for a key business unit. These are historic, stable and have a combined revenue of c25mil t/o.

Salary & Benefits
  • £70,000-£80,000 depending on experience (notably within a contract-driven environment)
  • Up to 15% Bonus
  • £6,000 Car Allowance
  • Private Healthcare
