About the Role

In this role you will provide day to day support of the Software Asset Management function within Provident. You will manage both new and current licences within the enterprise to keep the SAM register updated and liaise with our key third party suppliers. This is a great opportunity for career progression within the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide ongoing support to the procurement and IT Admin teams for licence purchases.
  • Import licences and agreements into the entitlement database.
  • Reconcile software entitlement to usage, using the relevant toolsets.
  • Be able to analyse licence models for different publishers e.g. Microsoft and IBM.
  • Create reports and comparisons to highlight cost savings and opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations on how to licence, reconcile, and re-harvest licensing entitlement.
  • Work with publishers and third parties to retrieve the correct licences and agreement base.
  • Help develop and share SAM best practices and strategy for managing and maintaining licence compliance.
  • Support internal software deployment and rollouts, and transfer of entitlement.
  • Adhere to policy and workflows, and to suggest operational improvements where possible.
  • Analyse third party licence agreements.
  • Be able to use service management tooling.

  • Knowledge of SNOW asset management tool
  • Knowledge of the procurement and purchase process of Provident
